Have you ever wondered how scientists record their findings in nature and draw things that are no longer alive, like a dinosaur? These school holidays you can find out in this exciting hands-on workshop combining art, science and problem solving!
You’ll get to:
· Explore Paleo art through drawing an extinct animal
· Investigate a local insect
· Engage with design thinking to plan life on Mars
· Practice skills important to scientific observation
· Find out how art is vital in science
Perfect for curious kids who love nature, drawing and discovering how the world works!
Following the hands-on workshop led by UNE Discovery, children will join NERAM’s Education Officer for a guided exploration of The Neighbour at the Gate. Through colourful installations, fascinating objects and thought-provoking artworks, young visitors will discover stories about home, family, belonging and community while engaging their curiosity, imagination and creativity.
