DESCRIPTION:A school holiday adventure where art meets nature!\nHave you ever wondered how scientists record their findings in nature and draw things that are no longer alive\, like a dinosaur? These school holidays you can find out in this exciting hands-on workshop combining art\, science and problem solving! \nYou’ll get to: \n· Explore Paleo art through drawing an extinct animal\n· Investigate a local insect\n· Engage with design thinking to plan life on Mars\n· Practice skills important to scientific observation\n· Find out how art is vital in science \nPerfect for curious kids who love nature\, drawing and discovering how the world works! \nFollowing the hands-on workshop led by UNE Discovery\, children will join NERAM’s Education Officer for a guided exploration of The Neighbour at the Gate. Through colourful installations\, fascinating objects and thought-provoking artworks\, young visitors will discover stories about home\, family\, belonging and community while engaging their curiosity\, imagination and creativity. \n\nEVENT INFORMATION \nDate: Thursday 9th July\nSession 1: 10:30am – 11:45am\nSession 2: 12:00pm – 1:15pm\nCost: $15 per participant \nParents are welcome to stay. Bookings essential. Min 10\, max 30 \n  \n\nTerms and Conditions \n· All bookings for events\, art classes and workshops require payment in full at the time of booking \n· A minimum number of 10 students required for workshop to proceed\, please book before 10am Friday 3rd July 2026 \n· Please be aware that once bookings close\, we are unable to offer a refund \n· If the workshop does not proceed\, you will be refunded any cash amount \n· NERAM events have a limited capacity and use a ticketing system.
